Crossdressing: Why Do We Still Label It?

Sitting here I was wondering how crossdressing is readily accepted today in society and to be honest, I am not even sure why we have to label it anymore. All too often we put labels on things to lock them into a category so that we can make statements about them like “I like to cross dress” or “You wouldn’t catch me dead crossdressing” or even “Crossdressers are just wrong." These labels in this modern day and age don’t hold any meaning. I like to think that as a society we have evolved enough to simply say as men “I like to wear bras” or “I like to wear lace panties” or “I like to wear stockings”. If we want to remove those labels, why not just say I like to dress to feel good?

Women now a days don’t really care as long as it looks good on us and we are feeling good for them, and more importantly for ourselves. If however, there are women that still cannot accept men wearing lingerie, then it's one more person to help understand and spread the word about crossdressing. Although, anyone is held to their own preferences and opinions, but perhaps the relationship may not be the same for the better or worse. As for guys who still cannot accept it, then I say they are most likely either locked in denial that they too want to try lingerie out, or they have been brainwashed into not allowing themselves to experience things they haven’t been taught.

XDress does an excellent job at making crossdressing for men just a way of life. By making the things guys want and by helping us to feel comfortable.  With so many options to choose from in panties, bras, camisoles, and other lingerie/clothing items, it allows us to put on what feels good and right. I myself, really enjoy lace and satin. XDress has some excellent choices like the The Smooth Satin and Lace Bra and The Lace Brazil Brief. I could go on and on for hours about what I love about their products and which ones I enjoy and really want to try out.

So here is my question to you my friends. What do you really enjoy wearing (bras, stockings, panties, dresses etc.) and what would you like to see more of from XDress?

I know there are so many options, where do you even begin? Let me start off by stating I would love to see some more babydolls in lace or satin in solid colors. I would also love to see more thongs. This definitely makes for a fun conversation in the comments section, and it allows XDress to know where we would love to see them focus.

So before I let you go my friends, let me just say this. In today’s day and age I don’t think of myself as a crossdresser. I think of myself as a modern man who is comfortable in what I like and how I feel. If society still feels they need to label us as crossdressers then sign me up, because I am not going to change.

Until next time my friends!

No need to label it but humans need to label everything. I think acceptance of cross dressing is growing and the stigma is going away as well. We are living in great times where we are able to more freely express ourselves than ever before. Get the courage to be you! Wear your panties proudly!

We are all a product of two halves, two hormones and these hormones, like any recipe, are not always in the correct proportion to achieve the perfect result. So, due to imbalance we humans have a very wide spectrum of outcome. It is accepted in our social life that girls are entitled to go through their “Tom Boy” phase as their hormones change so, why not the males after all boys bodies go through puberty and at that point imbalances will manifest themselves. There must be a way for all to develop without fear of any retribution and this start with sensible and well informed education from a very early point along the highway of life.

For me, dressing up is all about the feeling of having something soft and sensual against your skin. That being said, I’m not too fond of the more effeminate colors. I usually prefer deep tones, so dark reds, blues, and of course black, should be more widely available across your products I think. Those colors are still quite sexy. Regarding additional products, I would love to see more high waisted panties. As well as outerwear such as leggings, jackets, and more bodysuits would also be great. I am looking forward to seeing what is added in the future!

It’s always struck me as strange that males shouldn’t enjoy their own underwear and anything as dangerous as a tiny strip of cotton made into a bow can destroy the male, lol.

Male underwear has become more fun and interesting but frills, flowers and bows are still pretty much a no no in the big wide world.

As for my preference for more lingerie for men I would love to see more ‘Teddies’, Camisoles & French Knickers combos, maybe even a couple of nighties :-)

Cheers

Thanks for the blog. The statement that crossdressing is readily accepted in society is way off the mark where I live. I live in the South, and if I were to go out in public in a nice skirt and blouse, I would be taking my life in my hands. Fortunately, I am blessed with a wife that not only accepts my femme side, but encourages it and has bought more of my skirts and blouses than I have. We are also fortunate to live in a fairly isolated area and have a lot of land, so I can freely stroll through the forest with no fear. The term “crossdresser” is a bit puzzling to me. If I am dressing in feminine clothing because I am expressing my feminine side, is it really CROSSdressing?

As far as products, I agree with Ivo – I’d like to see more thigh-hi stay up hose. I don’t mean the fetish kind. Just plain ordinary hose with a lace top. As far as colors, I like black and also nude.

Peace,
Angie

I forgot to mention I have gotten rid of all my body hair. I use a epilator and I love using body lotion and very feminine body sprays as well. I guess people are right I enjoy being very feminine

Holly December 21, 2017

I really love wearing very feminine clothing such as panties and rompers etc. I always try and keep my figure as feminine
as possible. it seems as I get a little older I secretly love the comments that I am very effeminate. I love wearing make up
such as keeping my face soft and feminine. But not overly. I enjoy keeping my eyebrows feminine and wearing eyebrow make up. I wear nail polish on my toes and love to give my self pedicures etc. I really love xdress. clothes everything you have

I suppose there will always be labels. Crossdresser is one of a few that I have been called or given at times. As someone over 60 I have seen a much greater acceptance to this lifestyle. Sites like XDress have prospered as well as others. All for the better of course. As far as I am concerned slipping into my first pair of panties and putting on my first bra were all wonderful events. I really don’t mind the labels as long as they are not mean spirited. Like many others, I suspect, I have evolved in tastes and interests. Xdress is one of many that have helped that cause. As a younger person in my twenties I would have been very hesitant to admit that the model for this blog page is absolutely adorable. Today and for quite some time now I readily admit it. Looking at this model as well as other Xdress models stirs things in my panties. One of the list of reasons I will keep coming back. Keep up the good work.

I love silk undies . I would like to see more colors, and more boxer briefs, with lace.

Chris McDonald December 09, 2017

I will never give up wearing my nylon panties for any reason, I love the way they feel too much.

R December 08, 2017

Thank you. There’s not enough stockings for me, stay-ups, gartered, FF etc, and pantyhose. God I love those things.

Ivo December 08, 2017

I enjoy wearing anything that feels soft on my body, such as satin. I also love lace for that extra sexy feel and look!

The kind of clothing I love to wear most are panties, and specifically thongs and g-strings. I’m all about anything with a thong or string back. I’ll live and die by it.

Thong bodysuits is one thing I’d love to see more of on this website. As well as more babydolls as before-mentioned.
Possibly a bit more options for outdoor wear that you can show off as well. Like leggings or shorts

Great blog! I too would like to see more night gowns and sleep ware. If it years I have slept in night gowns.

Ken December 05, 2017

Thanks for a great blog. I have been wearing xdress and bodyware for a few years and love the fit and comfort. My wife is a great supporter of the cloths I wear and helps out buying them. I don’t own any guy underwear at all now, and only panties and bras on daily. when it is cold I will add a cami for a bit more warmth . I would like to see a bit more of a selection on bras, ie, lacy white, or how about a sports bra, as when I work out I wear the Normandy Lace Bra and nice pantie.
Thanks for the good work

Ian November 30, 2017

I would love to see more color choices in the rompers. They are so comfortable and my wife absolutely loves it. Also more skirt options would be great too. I will say xdress makes amazing products all of the lingerie I buy here fits so perfect. Keep up the good work

I believe we all have a masculine and feminine side. I believe it is important that we honor the total of our being. Wearing lingerie helps me relax from my masculine self to my feminine self. I don’t believe that labels are important. We are all individuals, and each honor ourselves in different ways. Wish more people were understanding and accepting.

Kenn November 27, 2017

I don’t consider myself a crossdresser, more as an androgynous individual. When I step outside, most people don’t pay me any mind. I’ve gone on dates with women wearing the French lace leggings with the gossamer string and women actually dig the style. When I’m by myself, women tend to approach me more. It’s pretty cool. This is progress. Xdress and Bodyaware are a true blessing. Their line allows me to explore myself as a complete person. I’ve learned a lot about myself through this online store!

Moet November 25, 2017

XDress is and had been a massive supporter of all men who don’t wish to follow the hetronormal guide lines.
I love wearing all things pretty and although my wife supports most things, I’m still finding bras ( but not bra style tops) and high heels a stumbling block.
I would love to see a black widow style bustier with suspenders and higher waist panties on the consideration list. More one piece swimwear and hopefully you’ll remember summer appears twice in an online retail year. Colourful leggings and long sleeve bodysuits.
XDress to me does not stand for Cross Dress but X as in Undermined value. We all love our pretty undies and clothes and as you said, It should be accepted and it’s not women’s clothing for men your making. It’s just mens clothing away from the horrible social and cultural norm.

Steve November 21, 2017

I like wearing panties and bras. I don’t have many pairs but I definately want to get more soon. I would like to replace my normal underwear with xdress panties.

I would like to see more skirts, maybe even with detachable garter straps. I would love to see more dresses like a summer dress style and a romper style dress.

David November 21, 2017

As a gay man who doesn’t fully identify as a full man, or should I say Feminine, I enjoy the wearing of some female clothes like skirts, I can no longer stand wearing men’s swimwear anymore, I prefer to wear women’s swimwear, i.e. One-Pieces and Bikinis, Tops and Bottoms, So far I’ve been accepted into a swimming group here in Brisbane Australia as what I call myself, non binary, a non binary male and I’m able to wear a one-piece swimsuit for swimming training, not going into competitions, more for getting fit, however I’m sad to say that if I go to a normal beach or waterpark, what I wear in the water might not be appreciated or accepted because of their desire to keep their parks Family Orientated.

I also am looking forward to ordering your Bras and Undies to wear under my clothes, I’m even thinking of buying a pair of women’s Denim Shorts and maybe a shirt or hat to go with it, just to blend it in a bit.

Austin, your sorting sounds like great fun, but i am afraid my wife would pitch all my fun stuff! I experiment with all styles and cuts of underwear, and given the time of day, season of year, and weight of other fabrics i am wearing, i wear it all! Well, ok, maybe not all… … … Its been YEARS since i put on a jock strap! But loose boxers, boxer briefs, contoured briefs and bikinis, thongs, and yes, even (usually stretchy) women’s briefs and bikinis. lately i like snugger fits.

Just yesterday my wife asked about a recently purchase pair of panties hanging in the laundry room. She said “you have some just like mine!” She thinks i am weird, but I told her I just like the snugger fit, softer fabrics, and the feel of thinner material when compared to thicker material-ed options from the men’s department.

Thank you for your message and your courage to be yourself. I live in Utah and it’s a torrent of insecurity.
Back on track, i would like to see some black fetish/cute pink leather/lace punk-rock, edgy mashup. Mmmmmm. Sounds Hot ?donut?
I’m in my thirties now and have been wearing lingerie and dresses since i was sixteen. Why? That’s the burning question, innit? it never hurt anyone, so i never changed my habits and I’m proud to wear a culture crasher.

I have loved wearing panties ever since the first time I tried a pair on. I’ve never thought of it as cross dressing and just love feeling cute, girly, pretty, sexy, naughty, desired, hot or whatever word I want to use at that moment I see my butt in something sexy. It’s about showing off my ass and feeling pretty. I’m bi sexual so as I experimented and grew panties has just become apart of me. Won’t date a guy or a girl who isn’t cool with me wearing what ever I want under my clothes or in the bedroom.

I would live to see more sets and bundles, lace and hot pink items.

I love this site!

I secretly have been harboring the suspicion that my wife has just kind of “put up with” my fascination with soft delicate beautiful panties on men but I recently proposed after 4 years of marriage that we go through each other’s panty drawer and get rid of anything that we didn’t absolutely love of each other’s, no judgements, complaints or veto power. We set a folding wall in between us so we couldn’t see which the other was keeping and which were “making the cut”. When it was all done we took the wall down and I was pleasantly surprised and shocked that many of the most lacy, pink, feminine pieces would be staying as well as some grills and polka dots and other’s!! She actually likes them! I really shouldn’t have been surprised since she picked a lot of them out but the nagging doubt that she was just indulging me would’t go away until now. You’re love may not instantly jump on board from day one because it is against social norms as of today but that’s not to say that people (especially ones that love) won’t see things from a different point of view once they see how happy it makes others and how beautiful something out of the ordinary can be.
