When did you first start wearing panties or lingerie and what motivated you to try it?
I think my first motivation was simply….why not. From there it was comfort and how turned on wearing it all made me, that feeling was an easy way to push deeper into lingerie. I followed what felt good for me.
How My Style Has Evolved
I think it was a natural progression, but I know I dip my toe into the idea of more feminine underwear early in my twenties, at the time I didn’t know of makers like XDress so I would just wear tiny g strings and the things I could find online. My first proper panties were a pair of women’s panties that came with a magazine I bought in France. That was 2016 and I was hooked. From there I found XDress, likely via Body Aware and knew I was ready for more panties. I think since I know so many of my guy friends from meeting on Twitter they’ve known all along that I enjoyed slutty underwear so they’ve only encouraged me going deeper and deeper into lingerie. I type this while wearing a tiny skirted sheet and lace thong a friend told me to buy.
What I Love Wearing (and Why)
These days I love a bra, I am wearing those more and more, and I’m getting more and more into crotchless things, especially for wearing with a cock cage! Lace is without question my favorite fabric, but sheer works too. I love the idea of coverage without being covered. I want to wear stockings and pantyhose more but I tend to forget about them or fear I’ll snag a run.
I live alone so I spend a lot of time alone so lingerie is how I start and end every day. I love the confidence and fun it provides oftentimes mundane of living alone in rural areas. I especially love working in my garden in the heat of summer in the smallest lingerie I can find.
Who Knows and How Open I Am
All of my guy friends know. Between in person, twitter, and Instagram they’ve all seen me in it. They know what I like and these days I know what they like and having that connection with my guys has been such a joy and reminder that we, as country bumpkin gays were never as alone as we feared we’d be.
Connecting With My Feminine Side
That’s a hard one to say, I love the juxtaposition of muscles and body hair with the feminine designs, especially with lace. I love the idea that you can be whoever you want. Especially if that means I can drive a tractor or work in my garden or on the farm while wearing lace. For me my love of lingerie and panties has come from writing my own rules about who I am rather than fitting the cookie cutter of the boxer wearing guy that lives on a farm in Kentucky. My farm life is farm more lace, mesh, and panty filled.
Why I Stepped Away From Traditional Men’s Underwear
Comfort is the biggest reason, I prefer as little coverage as possible but want support for the balls. Thongs have been my go to since high school. I used to love jocks but that has faded and thongs truly are my daily wear. I feel like the skinny jeans we were all wearing a decade ago was a big factor too, the less fabric the underwear had the less bunching you’d have in those skin tight jeans.
Advice for the Curious
Start where you’re comfortable and with what turns you on, for me that was smaller and smaller thongs and then into bodysuits, from there it has very much been a journey into a current love of bras and stockings. I’m dying for a corset next. I would also say start with cheaper pieces and work your way up. The great thing about panties is everyone wears underwear, why not make what you wear beneath your clothes fun, even if it’s your little secret.
Confidence, Expression, and Owning It
Oh I don’t give a hoot anymore, I used to have some level of shame connected to my love of underwear in general, but especially with lingerie, but now it is something most of my friends know about and encourage, and it has led to several of my friends opening up about how much they love lingerie too, which has been a fun new dynamic of our already very open friendships. I love that it is another bonding moment for me and my guys. We are continually sending each other links of what we each need next.
I love bodysuits and have for a long time, a leotard is typically what you’ll find me at home alone in. Cheeks out. I believe my first one came from XDress years ago.
What XDress Means to Me
For me XDress has been my favorite point for quality lingerie. I’m continually seeing what XDress is doing next and what is new. It is also the first place I send friends when they tell me they have interest in exploring lingerie and panties. When converting from women's to men’s sizing it is often hard or overwhelming to know what size to get, but XDress has standard sizing and that has made it all the easier. Body Aware is also my everyday go to underwear brand so it is nice having the two brands in the same family.

Very nice blog post! For me, it started as a curiosity of what satin would feel like. My GF at the time, left a pair behind and I couldn’t help but try them on! The feel of satin on your man parts while dry humping is great but even better when you are wearing! They were a satin green with lace trim and a black bow on the front. I wore them to work that day and was semi aroused all day. I called my GF and told her and she was instantly wanting to see me in them.
From there, the urge to wear kept growing and I would often hit a Victoria’s Secret and try cheeky, thongs or panties and usually always in satin or lace. I think panties are feminine and these fabrics are the definition of femme. Although, I have some sheer and cotton panties in my collection, I do prefer satin and then lace as my 1-2 go to panties.
As for styles, I love them all but have taken to thongs lately as well as Tangas. Less is more and they feel so good on! I also still buy from women sites because they offer more selection but find XDress to be more comfortable because they allow for the man parts to fit better.
I just love the way they feel and somehow give e more confidence, if that can be a thing.
As for who knows? Not many but I also don’t really know what kind of under garments many of the people in my life wear or prefer so I guess its nobodies business but mine. My SO loves that I wear them and is very supportive. We often try to match on date nights and other special occasions.
I think the femme connection is what draws me to panties and just the way I feel in them: Confident, strong and fearless!
I still wear men’s underwear, trunks in the Calvin Klein Black collection: Tight fit, great fabric that is like satin although lately, they have moved away from that material and more to a organic cotton-which is disappointing but it makes me more XDress so I guess that is a good thing?
My advice for trying? You will likely never go back if you do try XDress or at least you will incorporate some of these into your life, especially if your SO sees you in XDress.
I also recommend being open with your selection and choices. Try different things: bras, corsets, stockings, leggings. All very fun and flirty!
Lastly, XDress (and Body Aware) are great sights that have opened a new side to my life over the years. I have embraced this side and grown from this side. It is liberating and fun and allows me to be more comfortable with who I am as a person. And the benefit of wearing satin is something I can never give up!
