May I please ask if you would please consider writing an article about c d’s that enjoy wearing 1950’s style silky slips, full brief nylon granny style panties, shiny satin bras, garter belts, and silky sheer black reinforced heel and toe nylon stockings, like I do? Would you please consider doing a survey to ask how many c d’s enjoy wearing this type of silky feminine and glamorous style lingerie, and nylons, and why they like it, to advise us all of the results? Thank you for your consideration and help with my c d question.
I suppose I was very naive back then but I was shocked by the fact that very few women actually still wore elaborate lingerie. My perspective was why not?? I mean, I would have leapt at the opportunity (or excuse I suppose) to wear such gorgeous lingerie, whether under a dress while going to the office or, well, in the bedroom lol.
When I got older I finally had the chance and the opportunity to wear what I wanted and I learned that vintage lingerie was just as beautiful as I had hoped, but it was also a lot of work! Getting your seamed stockings to stay straight wasn't as easy as I had thought it would be.
There's really no reason why we are drawn to what we are drawn to. We simply like what we like. However, I think that many of us become aware that there is something special about us during our formative years. At an early point in my life something... awakened in me. One day "girl clothes" were not just what my mom and sisters wore. It was like getting struck by lightning. A dress wasn't "just a dress", it was suddenly something I wanted to wear more than anything in the world. I questioned everything about clothes. Why on earth would I wear boxer shorts when I could wear a lacy panty?
Lingerie, like all fashion, changes all the time. Fortunately fashion tends to repeat itself and many styles become popular again. Although Ms. Page has passed, it's amazing to see her spirit live on with others, specifically Dita Von Teese.

Absolutely love this post! It seems XDress has lagged on their satin offering lately and this is sorely missed on me, and I hope, the wider customer base! Vintage satin/silk is always the sexiest of the XDress offering! Especially with lacy accents! I hear there is a drop of satin coming soon!

Hannah, I really like the elegant pin up styles and have a collection of bloomer fancy panties I wear often. They fit and feel great not to mention they don’t focus on emphasizing the male body parts like most lingerie does. They are classic yet not for everyone. I can’t see myself with stockings etc for the reason you mention about being a lot of work. Hope more vintage sensual lingerie makes it here.
