Hannah, My question is how do you underdress and hide the lace from the bras? I am not passable but my wife and I enjoy when I underdress. However almost all of the bras I have from XDress are covered in lace and even with layers they still show through my shirts. Any secrets? My wife encourages me to wear them and says that if people notice then they are looking way too long. The same goes for panty lines. I wear a thong most of the time especially at the gym, but I have a lot of pretty panties and sometimes they leave extreme VPL.. My other question is what to do at the doctor? I don’t own any male underwear so the wife has purchased girl panties that could pass as men’s… I just don’t want to make anyone else uncomfortable. Thank you!
Unless you wear several layers, you have to understand and accept that someone will very likely see that you are wearing a bra. Perhaps they will see the underwire shaping the cups, the outline of the clasp on your back, the lacy details peeking through, or the indent of your bra strap across your shoulders. If any evidence of your bra is still showing, and you want to hide that, add another layer. If that layer isn't enough, add another. And so on until you look like Joey from that episode of 'Friends'.
Panties can also peek at the top of your waistband and a visible panty line is always a risk.
If you are going to underdress, you must make peace with the reality that someone will very probably notice. They likely won't say anything (I can't imagine many people walking up to someone else and asking if you are wearing a bra) but they will likely notice. The question you have to ask yourself is whether or not you CARE that they notice.
I could care less if some random person sees my pink thong peeking up or my t-shirt revealing a lacy black bra strap. If they notice, then so what? I am never going to see that random person ever again.
As for the doctor, I wear panties all the time and doctors have seen it all. I am not the first male presenting person that they will see that wears panties and I will certainly not be the last. Doctors and nurses are professionals. Besides, if I am at the doctor I am likely there for a more serious conversation that doesn't include panties.
If I get weird vibes or whatnot, I can just change doctors. I want to visit professionals that are professionals, not weirdos who care that I wear panties.

As long as your lover is aware and comfortable there shouldn’t be an issue. The fact you’re wearing it freely in front of them shows you are okay with the situation. This is a YOU issue, it isn’t anyone else’s concern. Tuck your shirt in, so there’s no telltale sign of straps sticking up. Or change in the loo and go commando. It is now 2025 with dress code freedoms across the board. Try having to wear a Nappy/Diaper… I soon realised people may look and look away. They would either have an internal snigger or say something derogatory. I’ve found turning it back on them soon shuts people up. You will find if You don’t show embarrassment the masses will take your side. Ask the idiot; “Why they were looking so hard?” Best to just leave it. Bullies and morons soon back down. Try to be comfortable with who you are. Or just wear unisex underwear, it’s only you and what you want next to your skin that matters. Enjoy your freedom whilst you can.

I underdress all the time and have learnt through practice as well as trial and error that a bra can be hidden by wearing strongly patterned clothing such as checkered patterns, stripes, etc, This can work even with thinner materials, but the huge advantage the person asking the question has is that they have a trusted partner who can help and advise you as to what works and what doesn’t. Pay particular attention to light as strong sunlight can easily make a well concealed bra suddenly very obvious!! In addition to this, try different styles of bras as some are definitely more obvious than others. Panties are far easier to hide and again there are so many options you are bound to find styles which work for you but I think folks don’t care in the slightest about guys with vpl’s as it’s not really a “thing” for males. As for the doctors, as Hannah says, they should be professional about it and have probably seen it all before, but if you’re worried about it then simply by 1 pair of male boxers or briefs for the short period of time you’ll have your appointment for!! Personally as I get older the less I care about whether someone notices if I have any sort of lingerie on. I been “caught” wearing panties several times and it was only my sister in law who ever actually said anything and that turned out to be one of the best things ever to happen to me as a crossdresser!! She’s now one of my biggest supporters! No one has ever said they’ve noticed me in a bra (yet!), but I’m sure people have noticed as I usually don’t exactly hide the fact I’ve got one on. Most people are too wrapped up in their own worlds to even notice anyway!!
Hi Hannah. Thank you for your insights into every aspect of feminine dress. I underdress every day. Fortunately, my uniform helps me conceal my sexiness. No worries with my Xdress panties ever showing, my shorts are very concealing. I find, after trying many, the Sweet Bralette is the most discreet under my work shirt. The shirt is a button down, loose fitting, heavier fabric, mechanics shirt😁. The bralette fabric is thin, light, and airy. The lace trim sits nice and flat. The straps are thin and almost unnoticeable over the shoulder. I leave it unbuttoned until the last minute so I can see the adorable bow. If I have to tie my shoe and bend over my shirt will pull tight and I wonder if anyone notices the outline. So far, so good. Sometimes in the office the girls will tap me on the back. Uh, oh! But so far no worries. I have the bralette in all the colors and wear the pink with matching Sweet panties every Friday. So much fun!
