Hi Hannah, I love wearing stockings but always put my panties on at last - that means over my garter straps. That way it’s easier to take off the panties. All the models at XDress always have the panties underneath. Somehow it looks better that way. What do you prefer?
There's a significant divide between practicality and sexiness, lol.
Some things, however, are both. A corset? Drop dead sexy. Absolutely the sexiest thing anyone can wear. However, a proper, quality corset is also incredibly practical. A good corset can give the illusion of an hourglass figure and help with your posture. There's very few things sexier than a confident stride aided by good posture.
Keep in mind that a corset does *not* necessarily allow you to wear a significantly smaller dress size than without it. A corset redistributes parts of your body. My waist is smaller, yes, but my hips are wider, so win/win?
But to your point, fastening your garters to the top of your stockings and then slipping into your panties is more convenient. I agree that it looks better to have your garters over your panties, so it's very common for someone to model a cute lingerie set that way.
Some of us like the extra effort though. Yes, it takes additional time to unfasten your garters and then, well, do whatever you need to do, and refasten your garters to your stockings once again. There is a significant joy I feel when I dress. I don't think I will ever tire of cinching my corset or fastening my bra or strapping my five inch stilettos around my ankle. Undoing, and then redoing my garters, gives me a few moments to be reminded of how much I love lingerie. I am happy to take a little more time to feel sexy, even if no one else can see what I am wearing under my dress.
