My Lingerie Journey: From Curiosity to Confidence
by The Pantied Prince
People often ask me how my lingerie journey began, and honestly, it still makes me laugh when I think about it.
It all started back in high school when I was dating a girl and we were watching an episode of Friends. In the episode, Joey discovers that Phoebe’s boyfriend is wearing panties. Phoebe challenges Joey by saying he isn’t secure enough in his masculinity to wear women’s underwear. That moment sparked a conversation between my girlfriend and me, and somehow it led to us switching underwear. (She probably should have known I was gay from the start, honestly.)

After that, femininity in my own wardrobe went pretty quiet for a long time. I didn’t really explore it again until 2020, when a friend showed me photos of himself wearing lingerie, specifically pieces from XDress. Something clicked instantly. From that moment on, I was completely hooked.
How My Style Has Evolved
Over the last six years, my underwear drawer has undergone a serious transformation. I’ve almost completely shifted from traditionally masculine underwear to more feminine lingerie. Don’t get me wrong, I still love a good pair of briefs or a jockstrap. But these days, I’m in a bra and panties about 90% of the time.
Every so often, I’ll go out to a local LGBTQ+ bar for their monthly Underwear Night. As you might imagine, nearly everyone there is in masculine briefs or trunks. A few times, though, I’ve shown up in a bra and panties, and I cannot overstate how freeing that has felt. Sure, there are some people who don’t care for it, but more often than not, I’ll have two or three guys come up to me asking about my love of femme wear and lingerie. Those conversations alone make it worth it.

What I Love Wearing (and Why)
Picking favorite lingerie styles and fabrics is tough, but a few things stand out. The very first pieces I ever bought for myself were a black lace bra and matching panties. There is just something about lace and frills that does it for me. And yes, I think it’s perfectly acceptable to say that in a blog post.
I also love anything made from nylon, spandex, or a blend of the two. The way those fabrics feel against my skin is incredible, sometimes so light it feels like I’m wearing nothing at all. Satin is another favorite. That smooth, silky feel never gets old.
Style-wise, put me in a bralette and thong combo and I am one happy femboy. I may not have the world’s best peach, but I don’t have the worst either, and a thong shows it off just right. And finally, I have a deep love for nighties and babydoll pieces. I find them unbelievably sexy.

Who Knows and How Open I Am
My husband has known about my love for lingerie for a couple of years now and has always been very supportive, even though it’s not really his thing. Over the past year, I’ve also started opening up to friends who’ve hinted at having similar interests. Having people I trust to share this part of myself with has been really meaningful. Plus, I’ve built up quite the panty collection, and I need someone to appreciate it.
That naturally led me to social media. In June of 2025, I decided to start lingerie-themed accounts on Instagram, X, and Bluesky. I wanted a safe space to show off the fun pieces I’ve been collecting and to express myself more openly. I don’t always know what I’m doing, but I’m having a blast learning, experimenting, and putting myself out there.

Connecting With My Feminine Side
Wearing lingerie has absolutely brought out my feminine side in ways I never expected, and I love it. Femininity is often viewed as softer or weaker compared to masculinity, but my experience has been the opposite. Since embracing lingerie, I’ve discovered a sense of strength and power in my feminine side that I didn’t know existed. It has changed how I see myself in the best possible way.

Why I Stepped Away From Traditional Men’s Underwear
There are plenty of men’s underwear styles that I still think are cute and well-designed. But feminine underwear simply offers so much more variety in terms of fabrics, cuts, and overall aesthetics. There’s also something hard to explain, a certain magic about feminine underwear on a man that makes me feel sexier than I ever have before.
Advice for the Curious
If you’re a guy who’s curious about wearing panties or lingerie, my advice is simple: do it. Right now. Yesterday, even. Go online, shop for that first pair of panties, a thong, a bralette, stockings, a nightie, whatever has caught your eye, and treat yourself. There is nothing quite like slipping that first black lace panty up your thighs, stepping back, and seeing yourself in the mirror. Jump in the deep end and get wet.

Confidence, Expression, and Owning It
There was a time when I would have never posted thirst traps in men’s underwear online. There was also a time when I never would have written a blog post like this, let alone shared it publicly. Somehow, lingerie unlocked something in me. I still can’t fully explain it, but it’s powerful, and it’s brought me to a place of confidence and self-expression I never thought I’d reach.

What XDress Means to Me
XDress is a sexy enabler of my panty addiction—and I love them so much!!!
Beyond making incredibly beautiful lingerie, they genuinely care about their customers. I know that can sound disingenuous coming from someone who clearly loves their products, but I mean it completely. They’ve always treated me exceptionally well. One time, I ordered a bodysuit and a snap on the bottom was missing. I reached out, and without hesitation, they sent me a replacement with two-day shipping.
So yes, they enable my sexy little habit, but they’ve also supported me every step of the way. And for that, I couldn’t love them more.

Stories like this are why I keep coming back to XDress. Wearing lingerie has been such a positive and confidence boosting experience for me. Please bring back the satin collection! We truly need more beautiful options.
Pantied Prince, thank you for your blog. I enjoyed reading it; your journey, your openness. I’m certainly a fembrother as I too have a love and passion for lingerie, with quite a collection myself, mainly XDress (THANK YOU EXDRESS 💕) For many years I have indulged and enjoyed panties and over the past several years the expressive experience has grown to include bras, nightgowns, and baby dolls, with a few other items sprinkled in. It is a pleasure to experience this side of myself. I’m a cis man in a long, long term relationship (🙏) and my partner is fairly ok with it; and then there are those times when my lingerie wearing is the key to some passionate intimacy. I wear my feminine lingerie 24/7, both awake, in public too, and while sleeping. It puts a special smile within me. During these difficult days in our country where some are so hatefully working to push gender expression and gender identity back to a repressive past, let’s keep finding ways share and celebrate our true, inclusive, beautiful selves and communities. ♥️
